Legal Aid for Le Roux trio

LEGAL Aid lawyers have been appointed to defend the three young KwaNokuthula men accused in the brutal murders of Plettenberg Bay smallholders Willie and Julie le Roux.

Bongani Mateyise, 23, Luvuyo Luyanda Ngabom, 21, and Silingiswe Singaphi, 20, appeared briefly again in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday in connection with the October 11 murders and were remanded to December 14 for further police investigation. They had earlier applied for Legal Aid.

The case will be transferred to the High Court at a later stage for trial, which will probably only proceed in the second half of next year.
