THE National Sea Rescue Institute has warned ocean users to be wary as rough seas with five-metre swells are predicted for the weekend and early next week as a cold front moves up the coast.
NSRI spokesman Craig Lambinon yesterday said the ocean could be unexpectedly rough, even in fine weather, as winter approached.

THE SA National Champs for Hobie 16s was held over the Easter weekend off Durban’s Vetchies Beach. A strong south-westerly gusting at 30-knots blew on Good Friday, so the race was temporarily called off after many a sailor capsized.
