FIREFIGHTERS, with a little help from light showers overnight on Wednesday, had by yesterday morning either extinguished or controlled most of the fires plaguing the Garden Route.

FIRE-FIGHTING heroes yesterday told of their exhausting battle against the infernos blazing across the Garden Route. Most of the fires plaguing the region, from Haarlem in the east to Still Bay in the west, were brought under control yesterday, but a blaze near Homtini in the Knysna area was racing towards farmland and buildings by early evening.

Server Maintenance – We will be performing several upgrades to our servers to enhance stability and performance.
