Junior Soccer Fans get into the Action in Plettenberg Bay

[ June 5, 2010; ] Local soccer fans and players fans in Plettenberg Bay and surrounds will be getting into the spirit of the world’s most beautiful game when they participate in the Bitou Mini World Cup Final in New Horizons on Saturday, 5 June. Bitou Municipality in partnership with the Plett Football Association launched the tournament earlier this month in an effort to raise awareness and support for the 2010 FIFA Soccer World Cup.

Phakamisani’s under-12s do it again!

The kids of Phakamisani Primary School have made Plett proud with their achievements in soccer – currently the country’s most important sporting code, as the Fifa World Cup rapidly approaches.

Three teams opt for Garden Route bases

The Garden Route will be hosting only three teams for the Fifa World Cup, not four as initially expected.

Oakhill plays astro soccer in, and hockey out!

Oakhill School hosted a successful U/9 Six-a-side soccer tournament at their astro turf on May 15. Under-9s from Chris Nissen, Sunridge Primary, Knysna Montessori and Knysna Sports School competed with Oakhill for the prize, kindly donated by Deon at Plett Sports – thanks, Deon!
