DURING a singularly spectacular cycling weekend, Plett’s Club 100 cyclists celebrated the fact that member Kevin Evans collected yet another national title for himself and his team, and that the club’s Danie Erasmus was crowned South Cape Veterans (55-59 years) Road Champion.

THE Granny Gear Cycling Club boasts riders from Natures Valley to Wilderness, with the majority of members being Bitou residents.

ABOUT 1700 people took part in the sixth annual two-day Sabrina Love Ocean Challenge in Plettenberg Bay yesterday and Sunday, when international sports stars swam, paddled, cycled, ran and walked alongside holidaymakers.

Plettenberg Bay’s Kevin Evans won the 100km Talisman Herald Karoo to Coast Mountain Bike Challenge 2009 in 3:08:24 yesterday.
